How much lift and how stiff with the Kings? Also curious what tire size. Debating Kings, Fox, vs Icon.

I didn’t like the red either so I went with Camburg ball joints. So far they’ve been good to me!!!

Pick the one you already have decided on in your head and buy it. End of the day, their all using the same shit lol. Rubber bushings, 4130 or DOM .095 or .120 wall tubing, and a chinese 1" or 1.25" uniball which is way over kill for our trucks lol.

Are you really making determination based on color.....

You are also looking at apples and oranges as camburg and icon use mostly uniballs which are squeaky and higher maintenance while the JBA is a moog

I'm not sure how anyone can say they "Love" their UCA. It's just an UCA, literally once installed one of the most forgotten about parts

This is a hot debate and almost entirely wrong.

A skinnier tire saves weight and overlanding is very basic offroading that doesnt necessarily require a larger tire but at the end of the day a larger tire will perform all around better

It is pretty straight forward to setup at install. The higher the lift the more castor you are going to want (usually +2 or +1). The one negative is when more positive castor is added it will move the tire closer to the rear of the fender. The nice thing about the SPC is that you can adjust the castor. Most other non-adjustable arms will add about 2deg of positive castor.

Positive caster moves the tire forward

Not necessarily. If positive castor is added with UCAs it moves the tire rearward. If added with the LCAs it does move the tire forward.

All positive caster does is move the tire slightly forward and move the pivot angle back, which isn't a negative....

This is why we need positive caster to avoid rubbing

The LCA adjusts caster forward, the UCA moves the pivot back.

I agree more positive caster is not a negative. The negative I was referring to is that UCAs can decrease the clearance for larger tires at the rear of fender. I believe that is why some people don't need a CMC with 285s

I currently have SPC arms and like them so far. I have had TC arms in the past which did not hold up to our winters.

Eta. I also recommend headstrong, great service and best price I could find.

So we get more positive caster to help with rubbing on the cab mount which is behind the tire toward the rear. I'm really confused by your comments.

    3rd gen. I kept it at 2".

Regarding stiffness. Not sure what to tell you. I can hit stuff at 70mph now that I took at 35. And the body roll is gone when crawling in the hills. Aftermarket suspension isn't necessarily about making your truck ride like a couch. It's about keeping the tires on the ground the longest. If you hit a huge hole, you're going to feel the hole .but the truck will steer straight and stay level.

Pick your color, then which sticker you think is cool, check funds available to blow, purchase from headstrong. You’ll be happy with whatever you choose. They are all good so why not pick the color you want :notsure:

Aftermarket UCA have extra built in caster. Part of the whole point. Also not sure what you're saying. Try rephrasing

Sorry, let me see if I can explain it better.

Aftermarket UCAs increase positive caster by moving the upper ball joint (or uniball) towards the rear of the vehicle. Most of these arms provide ~2deg of positive caster. Depending on the lift a full 2deg of caster correction may not be needed which in turn may move the tire rearward more than needed. It is all about finding a balance of getting the most positive caster and having the most clearance at the rear of the fender.

I set my SPC arms at 1deg and was able to get more than 3deg of positive caster. This gives me more clearance for my 285s versus having the arms set at 2deg. I still need to take it offroad but I currently do not rub.

Eta. If anybody wants more info check out this thread. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...driving-report-with-light-racing-ucas.158795/

As an added comment and is purely just directed at JBA, his customer service is phenomenal.
