I put this in the What have you done to your truck today thread, but then decided to make it it's own thread. Here's what I did. Went to the dealership to find out if the tsb had been done on the leaf springs, and it hasn't. I've been looking for a reason/justification to get it by the wife to lift it, and this may just be it, but I have several options and am not sure which to go with. Do I:

    A. Have them replace the leaf springs according to the TSB and do an aal and change the shocks
    B. Have them replace the leaf springs with Dakars that I buy (they might have maybe said they would do it if I brought them in) and shocks
    C. Have them do one of the above for the rear and also take them the parts for the front and let them do the front as well
    D. Have them do one of the above for the rear and do the front myself

After asking on here, doing some reading, and talking to Headstrong, I think I'm going to go 3 inches with OME all the way around and new UCA's. I don't crawl but I do get out in the woods to hunt/fish/play in the mud.
    Thoughts?

D if you have the know-how, tools, and time.
    C if you don't haha!

And B for the rear setup, the stock leaf pack sucks, but idk what you are really doing with the truck an AAL may suit you fine. But a new leaf pack will be so much better that a band aided stock one.

Too poor to list anything interesting.
When my buddy wanted a lift, but needed to get the OK from his wife, he towed something with his vehicle. She was OK with it after that.

Like I said, I don't crawl or do any crazy offroading, so I don't have a need for a crazy suspension, but I do get offroad to hunt, fish, and play in the mud sometimes. Also, I'm not trying to cheap out, which is why I wasn't sure about the AAL option. I have seen a lot of people on here that do it, but if there is more benefit to a new leaf pack, then that's what I'll do.

Unfortunately I towed a trailer with a piano in it from KY to MO with no issues, so that won't work. Plus, I very rarely tow anything, so again, not a lot of help lol

I have an AAL, and they served me well since I don't tow a lot. Even with that, you can see the factory leafsprings sagging. I'd say just get a new leafpack and be done with it.

Yes a new Dakar pack will be much better, I'd go that way if money isn't an issue and you don't want to "cheap out" per say!

I would rather have the capacity to do more and never need it than need and not have.
