I am looking at both an Inferno and a Quicksand TRD Sport 4x4 and I am not sure which color I like better. Which is rarer?

    Neither.

Buy what you want. Both look like a bag of assholes to one person, and both look like a diamond to the next.

    It's a truck. You're not buying a paint color.

I appreciate the comment but I almost feel like I wasted my time reading this cause it gave me absolutely no help.

Flaming red/orange vs skin tone tan. My meat thermometer would say inferno is a solid rare where as quicksand would be well done.

Inferno is vastly more rare where I'm at in the NE. I see a lot of Quicksands in all trims. I seem to have the only Inferno Offroad MT in my city. I've seen a ton of Sports though all AT.

Now Rav4. I've seen a ton of Infernos. It's weird.

You're crazy if you think one is not making their selection on the the type of vehicle they purchased based on the color of it. 4 to chose from all having the same exact things besides color and you're just going to flip a coin?

No. I'd buy one that appeals to me the most.

I wouldn't ask a stranger on the internet how to spend my money on something like "hey internet, what color do I want?"

Neither is rare. It's an entry level midsize pick up from one of the largest manufacturers. TRD Sport is everywhere. Quicksand is everywhere. Inferno is everywhere and was used on the second gen trucks also, so less "rare."

Adulting 101 - buy what you want.

I think the poster was wondering what color would be out on the road less.

As for asking us to decide, you are right.

You know I always see those ugly ass Kermit the frog green cars, yellow, or orange gold and wonder if they got a deal on it when they purchased it. They don't, blows my mind.

I'd hope so. But then again, orange is super rare. ;)

When I ordered my Krypton Green Exige, had to pay a lot more for the color. No discounts were provided

Someone mentioned the other day on here somewhere that his Inferno 3rd gen had been hit 3 times in a short period of time, and it might have something to do with the color. Who Knows?
Basically, get the one that appeals to YOU the most, and do your mods to make it YOURS!

You must have mis-read what I was asking. I didn't ask you to pick my color, I asked which was more rare? This is fact vs. opinion.

It seems to me that every time I see a Sport it is Inferno.

But you are asking TW populous, which means you are going to get nothing but opinions on which is more rare.

Pray tell, how do you expect to get a "factual" answer to that question? Did Toyota release some sales-by-colour break-down that I'm not aware of?

Every day there's another new guy wanting the internet committee to convince him of what colour is "best." You know what, I might as well monetize the stupidity. Let me find a few free hours - I'll whip up a website that'll give you a personalized, truly "factual" answer for only two easy payments of $19.99*. *Financing available OAC.
