A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
Also I think this is a factor of where you reside in the US -- I have been looking around here in Missouri for Blue ones --they are few and far in between! This surprised me as the Blue and Quicksand models are the colors most featured in Toyota ads. I have seen more QS's here, but it is my theory most of the Blues go out west.
This is OK now, as I am going to have sort of a unique truck around here (Blue AC 4x4) -- even though I ordered it without seeing one. Leap of faith for me

You are correct that you cannot order a Sport in Quicksand in Canada. My dealer said they were ordering mostly Off Roads, as this is the only double cab V6 configuration available with a short bed (other than a Sport Manual, or TRD Pro Manual or Auto). They told me that Canada did not get the short bed until 2017, and customers have been asking for the short bed.

Def regional. You also need to consider how long these colors are going to run... you going to buy quicksand today if it has low production numbers in 2017 but what if it doubles in 2018?

I really wanted Inferno or Quicksand personally, my wife suggested the Magnetic Gray, which I think also looks great but I told her I see them too frequently in the town we live in. Sure enough an hour later we go to dinner and parked within 5 parking spaces there were 3 MGM Tacoma's, 2 right next to each other.

We went with Inferno. She hated Quicksand, but my first vehicle when I was 16 was a 1970 FJ40 in that color, but we both liked Inferno so easy enough to give up Quicksand for that. I see very few Inferno thus far, in 3 years I don't expect that to be the case.

Yeah probably because the color is so bad ass that they keep staring and don’t even realize they’re driving and drive right into it lol.

When my wife drives my truck I can’t even take my eyes off the truck driving away. I swear the inferno puts a trance on people. Probably why one guy on here said a guy got hit 3 times because people forget they’re driving while staring at the inferno and just plow right into it lol.

I see a surprising amount of QS here, and rarely see inferno - I don't know which is actually less common, though.

I think the blue's are flat out rare, period. I live in the land of Tacomas (San Diego), and I'm not sure I've seen more than maybe one blue 3rd gen.

Agree completely. I see quicksand an inferno everywhere (even dealer lots when I was looking). I occasionally see a cement, but have only seen one of the light blue.

I went with a mgm because there are so many blazing blue here and I’m not a black/white vehicle person.

I mean either blue. I've seen maybe one or two of the blazing blue, and none of the new blue. I don't see many blue vehicles, period, though.

Here in the foothills of the Ozarks , I can honestly say I have only seen 1 in qiucksand ,1 in blue and 3 or 4 in inferno since I bought 2016 in April 2016 . It has to be a more regional thing I suspect .

Before I bought my truck, I felt like I saw the blue every where, maybe because I drove by the lot often and kept spying the blue. So when we determined I was ordering and they didn't have green, I went with MGM thinking I didn't want blue cause they are ever where. But now I only think I have seen a couple, maybe one in the area and now I pass a MGM sport on my way home from work, not to mention the others I see around.

Does this have to do with I'm more aware now? Kind of like before you buy a certain car, never seeing any around, then after you get yours, they are every where? Or as I have called it, every one is dam copying me issue.

Yep, everyone is copying me! :D

There are three Blazing Blue DCSB TRD Sport in just my section of my work parking garage out of ~200 cars. The others I see are white older gens.

I've seen a lot more Inferno near me than Quicksand. Which is rarer? Not sure. Why no one is trying to help the OP make up his mind is silly. There is only one right choice.
