Make sure they at least cover your rental car, hotel room, tow bill and meals while you were held up

Last year, we got a check from a Palm Springs BMW for $500.00 after a bad experience at their dealership. So I guess it does happen, time to time.

Definitely in the ball park with my 7k estimate if they needed to replace all those injectors. I was thinking if they didn’t need to replace anything it was gonna be around 1,000-1,200. A little in the high side but I didn’t know how long the rate is to get to all those injectors. And I also factored about $200 for the tow. Wonder if that $800 included the tow?

Hopefully OP is good to go though, would hate for him to get stranded again and have to go through the same bullshit because the injectors clogged

Yeah, it will totally blow for the OP if he endures ongoing problems behind this.

Wrong about the total cost, yep. Or the fact that I thought it was going to clog or harm the injectors? I was wrong about that as well. But I was right on what it would of costed if it would of fucked the injectors. And don’t sit here and say it’s impossible because even if the diesel wouldn’t of harmed anything in my area atleast people’s gel up all the time in the the winter, if that happened when it was in a Tacoma tank, everything would definitely be fucked

Main thing is the OP is back up and running, and while it was definitely an inconvenience for him, I’m glad it’s taken care of. Although this wasn’t any fault of the OP hopefully a few people can learn the value of accidentally putting the wrong fuel in their tanks. Like I already said before this could of been much worse

Back some time ago, a shot of diesel in your gas was a good thing. Diesel is a detergent and cleaned things out, kind of like corn on the cob...well most diesel has detergents in it anyhow in order to keep the injectors clean.

Man so if everything needed replaced it would be upwards up 10k. Right around the price of replacing a who fuel system on a super duty. Insane

If if if if..seriously bro. We told you it would not need replacing, just to be cleaned out. You keep comparing it to adding gas to a diesel which is completely different.

Yeah, I could see it getting very close to 10K for repairs if fuel rails, injectors, seal kits and all other misc parts are needed....
