Whine between 50 and 60. Vibration when braking

Have a 2019 trd sport double cab. After 1500 miles notice whine around 50 mph when letting off throttle. Also, when braking feel a slight vibration when coming to a stop. Anyone else with this issue on 2019 Tacoma?

Update; So I took my Tacoma in for whine noise when letting off throttle and dealer states " unable to duplicate concern" seems always the case under warranty!!

 

Please call corporate and open a case with them. The more that do so, the better.

 

I refused to pick up truck. Told them it's a common issue and to fix it. Waiting to see what happens but I guess that will be my next step.

What year is your truck? I have a couple other things going on with mine. Braking feels like going over wash board last 50ft or so. Again Toyota states can't duplicate. The whine is driving me nuts as it is getting louder( can hear over radio) yet dealer states they couldn't hear it. My first Tacoma....not impressed.

 

I don't hate the truck. I like it overall. Also, who the hell uses drum brakes anymore? Didn't notice those till after purchase.

 

I have 2019 trd off road 4x2 currently with 3000 miles. Vibration when braking at 60 mph and 40 mph to stop. Having this issues since week one..

 

Same here. Mine is 2019 trd sport 4X2. Forgot to mention the other thing...tranny feels like it fumbles a bit on interstate. Again...couldn't duplicate. I'm starting to think they didn't even drive it. Btw...was your rear bumper misaligned? Mine was and so were most on the lot after looking while there for service.

 

Only have 2k miles on mine and whine started getting louder so I took it in. Surprised when dealer said they couldn't hear it. Has yours been repaired and still having problems?

 

I didn’t check the rear bumper yet. Make sure to tell them to drive at least 5 miles.
Mine doesn’t vibrates/shudder when it’s cold or first 4 miles. Once components get hot it vibrates.

 

Why are you considering lemon law? Have they not been able to fix? Not acknowledging there's a problem?

 

FWIW... I had the tsb done on mine and it made the howl worse.

On one of my trips to the dealer, they actually told me they drove another one on the lot and it did the same thing. Good grief. I'm positive they didn't drive another one to compare, as I wasn't even there waiting long enough for them to get it out to the interstate to try it out at speed.

I'm guessing they called corporate, who told them it's a common problem.

Sure. I have both those issues. I actually heard the howling noise on the way home from the dealer the night I bought the truck. Just been living with it based on the results others on here have gotten at the dealer. I would have no problem duplicating both these issues for them.

 

So do you plan on getting fixed? I had thought about letting ride but it seems to be getting louder.

 

They dont have a fix for it at this time if there even is one. If it is really a problem why doesnt it get louder as u speed up. Could be similar to exhaust drone caused by vibration at a certain rpm.

 

19’ Sport 4x4 manual dcsb. Same issue around that speed but i assumed it was bigger tires or normal whine for the manual. My whine is tolerable, not loud at all
