I recently returned from an extended absence and my wife had the neighbor replace the clutch in my 95 Tacoma. I went to drive it and there is a whine in 3rd gear. It doesn't make the noise in any other gear or while in 4wd. I haven't replaced any fluids yet, but am planning on Replacing the tranny and transfer case fluids this weekend. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem after replacing the clutch or if this is a normal wear and tear on the tranny? My truck has 157,000 miles on it and I just replaced the original clutch. Or could this problem be solved by replacing the tranny fluid?
