I have a 2011 double cab sport and when I let off the gas (about 55mph) I hear this howling/whining sound. I took it to the dealer today and was told it is noise from the air induction system. I'm not a mechanic so I may not be saying the correct name. It's where the air filter is. They are telling me this is normal in the 2011 models. Has anyone else had this issue or know if they are correct??

    Thank you for your help.

I hear the same howling noise on my '11 sport. I have almost 800 miles on it and just started hearing it a couple days ago. We haven't had any rain for several weeks was thinking it had to do with that. It gets louder with speed. Haven't had it to the dealer yet

Sounds like you need your windshield resealed. I had a kazoo kind of a sound, at highway speed during a cross wind or following big rigs. After toyota reseal the windshield it was gone.
