You can make is start and stop with different amounts of throttle, so I definitely isn't wind or tire noise.

It's not easy to discern on the video I posted but if you know what you're listening for it is easier. It is kind of a bearing noise like a "wooooooooo" almost like a ghost

Smitty, I just made a ride in my truck and maybe I heard your ghost. If thats what it was its a baby ghost in mine. With my window up and radio off I could hear a faint wooooo sound around 52 -55 mph. You definitely wouldn't hear it with window down or radio on. I am wondering if mine might just be wind noise. Maybe that is a perfect speed for the wind to hit something just right to make this slight noise. I am sure if I had a toyota mechanic ride with me and he did hear it he would laugh at me for being so paranoid. I definitely couldn't tell where the slight noise is coming from.

Did you have your Lower Control Arms plugged? I bet it's the same noise we're getting. It could be yours is just not too bad yet. I didn't notice mine until 10k and it was loud enough where I could hear it over the A/C and Radio on at a normal volume. Now that I have a familiar ear to it, I know exactly what the sound is and noticed it coming back already on my new differential. This is what most of us are concerned about. You could be right, maybe no big deal in long run. But doesn't seem right for the truck to be making this noise and certainly it has been loud enough in some of ours to cause concern to where the Dealerships have lobbied for (and executed) complete replacement of the diff carrier assembly. Something not right here....

I have the plugs in my LCA. I bet anybody riding with me wouldn't even notice it unless I pointed it out and then maybe they still wouldn't notice what i am talking about. Maybe it might be wind doing this. I know off subject my brother has a Ford F150 3.5 eco boost Lariet truck. It is super nice truck but while driving it about a month ago I noticed a constant low key whistle in his truck. Maybe it is just in the design of these trucks. Not saying yours is not diff problems but right now I just can't say what it could be.

My dealer put it on lift and used a stethoscope to isolate the noise to the rear diff. You could probably do the same if you have a way to lift it.

Well unless it gets worse I might not worry with it. I did take out the extended warranty being this was a new truck just to be on the safe side. I usually trade in around 80000 on my trucks anyway so maybe I am good and if not the extended warranty is there. I do have a good mechanic at my toyota dealership who would put it on a lift and check it with a stethoscope if I asked him to.

Well silver lining, if it gets louder and dealer agrees it's an issue, could cancel your warranty (refund?) and make a case with corporate for a free one. I got one free for this reason. Agree that if you aren't noticing it to hold off. If it gets noticeably louder, I would report it to the dealer and get it documented.

I'd push back on the offer for the Gold. I don't see how that is the best they can do. I think your case manager is stingy....

They probably try to read the forum, but with all the problem threads in the 3rd gen section, it becomes quite overwhelming.

Exactly, when you actually own one feel free to chime in. Your posts are pretty lacking in substance besides the usual "3rd gen problems" that you only speculate, continuing to spread your misinformed propaganda. Whatever makes you feel better bud.

I've been saying this for a year. The most vocal "3rd gen sucks" guys don't own one, have no intention to own one, and have never driven one.
