    Loose Alt-PS-AC belts?

How fast is the engine running when the noise occurs? Need more info to diagnose than you provided :pccoffee:

I know i tried to upload a video but it failed. Basically around normal idle levels 700-900 rpms. It seems to whine when i hit the gas pedal and even whines louder upon acceleration. I think my belts are tight, could it be my alternator showing signs of failing? i might have to re-diagnose because i was doing this fairly quick before i drove to work.

So just went under the truck and it seems to be a louder whine when under the front the vehicle under like the a/c compressor. At idle the while is low but pushing on the gas the whine get louder. Is it possible to pull one of the belts to see if the whine is still there to eliminate possibilities?

That's a great idea. You can also spin stuff by hand with the belt off. Something gritty or sloppy will stand out.

Do you have enough power steering fluid?

Your AC idler bearing could be going out. Cheap and easy fix, under $10 and 1 hour. Search this forum for "AC Idler Bearing".

My truck does this as well but only with the clutch pedal let out so I'm pretty certain mine is (if my memory serves me right) the transmission input shaft bearing, which is known to be noisy. This may be your issue as well. Try idling and revving in neutral with the clutch pushed in and see if it still does it.

Mine started too about 9 months ago (only when the clutch is out, in neutral or in gear). From my understanding its the input shaft bearing slowly wearing. Stops in 4th gear when its direct drive. Lots of folks have reported this, some replacing the bearing when they get their clutch done, only to have it come back 10K miles later. I know @eon_blue had this issue too.

I meant to say this as well. I've just learned to live with it because even if it gets replaced it'll probably just end up back.

I also did a lot of looking into it at first and it doesn't seem to mean that it's in bad condition either, it's just how it is.
