Hey! Calgary member here. Just want to thank whomever left this note on my truck today in Vancouver. I appreciate the invite but have to pass on this awesome trip. We're on the tailend of a 20 day camping, surfing trip and I'm a bit beat up and need to take it easy in Van for the next few days before heading home!

I'd like to get confirmation from those that are coming.
I'll reupdate the roster when i get a solid count again, only 4 days to go.

 

NOT including myself, I have 4 confirmed trucks from the FJ Forum. 2 Maybes and 1 that confirmed early July, but haven't heard from him since.

Joel, one of the guys coming form the other forum has done the trip a few times. He suggests as a plan is to meet in Hope, head to Princeton for Lunch and to gas up.

Tim Horton's Address in Hope is 250 Old Hope Princeton Way.

Those of us leaving from Van area (Van, N Van) are likely going to convoy to Hope together. Myself, Boostjunky and Arvin are all I know for sure.

 

Wanna meet up around 730am in Vancouver? Then we meet up bluesteel along hwy 1.
Traffic shouldnt be an issue!

 

Looks like me missing work all day Friday is a no-go. My work backup is out himself, helping with the Airshow. I do think I'll be able to hit the road in the afternoon - VA7FQT if you still want to leave late, I'd be gung-ho for 2 or better yet, 3pm from Timmy's in HOPE? I don't see a problem catching up.

Do you guys have a tentative Fri night camp location?

Joel knows where Wells lake is, and suggested it. I've never been, but a lake sounds nice.

Pete, I'm sure you'll find us (and you've been so you likely know where Wells is too? . Let's use CB 19? I'm sure we'll be in range at some point as well.

 

Yes am sure I'll find you eventually. EDIT: found Wells Lk on my topo map, should be easy enough to find. The plan for 1 night or 2 nights?

 

Antarctican sorry for the late response, I was trying to get the day off work lol. I can meet you at tims in hope by 3:00. With a good pace we shouldn't be too far behind the group.

Should be a fun road trip. Im excited.

 

I think the plan is to have lunch in Princeton area then head in, If everything goes on schedule, we should be there around noon.
You should get a couple of phone numbers from us, I know my fido is a lil sketchy in that area.
