Outstanding! I really dig those wooden doors.

I just had an idea that might be cool (wouldn’t mess with these doors). Take the JD outline like it is and router that out, take white LEDS or any color/changeable) and put them at the back of the wood. Then take epoxy and fill in the letters (I would use a tinted epoxy so you don’t see the LEDs) once it’s level with the wood then poly the entire surface. Once they are installed and wired up you should now be able to make the entire logo glow.

I actually pondered this idea... Really the only thing that stopped me from trying it was the fact that I haven't found anyone around here that sells the epoxy. Sure, I could order it from Total Boat and wait for it to maybe delivered before the end of the year haha..

There would be a few spots where thing cross the doors that could be a PITA but it could be done.

I feel like doing the reverse would be more awesome.. building a mold box for the actual door.. and have a nice hardwood for the lettering.. similar to me cutting out the stuff for the fire project. Sure.. the router idea would be able to have the curly Q designs etc.. but a whole door that had a subtle glow?? Now that would be bad ass!!

@Misplaced Nebraskan just curious if you've seen a 1.75 of the Apple or the Rye? I don't know if they exist haha.

I could probably do it both ways. Just how much $ would one be willing to pay me?

We can make just about anything. I can have it cut with the laser so we could do the curls and stuff. May have to cut 1/2 then flip and cut the other half. :)
