Start with drinking that full one so it matches the set :D

Still thinking a real light stain (possibly grey tint) would be a good contrast. Kind of that weathered look.

Haha! Obviously I drank all the other bottles! The 200ml ones are hard to come by around here.

Well.. I'm not sure I'm happy with this... I know it's a stain and not a paint... I guess I didn't know what I was expecting. It's only recommended to do 1 coat with this stuff... Thoughts? IMG_20200608_125757.jpg

If ya was close to me I would wrap all the edges with riveted flat bar.

You should hand scrape the wood then stain it then poly it. Our last house I had all hand scraped hardwood floors installed when I built it. Really cool look.

Well...this stuff is stain and poly all in one.. so it's a 1 step process which is likely why only one coat is recommended.

Haha I used up my like for rivets on the last failed project!

Ya I don’t use the combined stuff. You should check out the scraped wood. Really cool looking effect that makes the wood look old and used.

Just laid the test piece inside a box and I like the contrast with the hardboard backing too

Darkened up nicely. I think it'll look good! Subtle color to keep the focus on the bottles. Lighting additions?

also pine will darken a little over time. So it will get darker. To a shade more like golden oak. So it will look better as it ages
