It's a bracket mounted to the top and then against the wall to hold the top securely

Should mount against the wall then slide shelf in and then screw down into the cabinet. Will hide the majority of the bracket from eyesight.

Well two things... It's made of clear plastic so it's not easily seen and there was already a drywall anchor there .. otherwise I would have used your brilliant idea

    Haha !

I was thinking earlier that awhile ago I edited the name of this thread.. maybe that's why it's wonky on the alerts? Like maybe unwatch it then watch it again?

So in preparation for a new project I figured I would replace the rotting plywood on the miter saw stand that I acquired with the saw.

As always... Easier said than done...
    IMG_20200529_162008023_HDR.jpg

As I said.. the stand came with the saw and it appears to have been made by the previous owner. Should be easy to pop off the wood and replace with new and get going on the new project.

Unfortunately, the "builder" of said stand .. RIVETED the wood to the frame. After a couple of attempts to drill out the rivets I ended up grabbing the grinder and grinding off like 40 or so rivet heads.

    IMG_20200612_172538.jpg

As you can see in the above picture the wood on the bottom shelf was under the metal, but since I was replacing it and wasn't going to use rivets... I actually had to take off one of the legs to get the bottom shelf piece of plywood inserted. As you can also see.. the bolts were rusted AF and it took a bit of WD-40 and my impact driver to get those out. All told a 5 minute job took me close to 4 hours.. not that I was working at a fast pace or anything. In the end the new plywood looks great and is attached from the bottom with wood screws in case I need to change it again... Or the next guy hahaha

For those of you helping me in my quest, here's an updated list f what I am searching for. The ones with the question marks are ones I haven't been able to confirm even exist. Thank you in advance!
