Make that bottom one a warm white you are set. That looks great!

    Thanks!

For a 5 minute project to check proof of concept it's not bad. I'm thinking about a logo or something tho add more surface area for the light.

Looks good. Try a hole in the pecan that is the size of the bottle. See how that looks. :)

A rush job with a jigsaw.. the odd shape of the bottle doesn't help.. I bet a 45 bevel would produce a better result

Not bad. It’s helping diffuse the light. :)

I'll play around with ideas and scraps before I commit to building the whole piece. This shelf is the easiest since most of the bottles are roughly the same shape/size.

The other shelves are a whole other adventure! All the sizes and shapes might be a PITA to make cut outs for

That would distract from your whiskey and cabinet budget.

@Misplaced Nebraskan - I had to put these pics in here too... Keeps from cluttering up the other page... also. I have added 30+ bottles to the spreadsheet off the website.. but they will be nearly impossible to obtain at this point.

Added some smaller bottles today and replaced some empties with full ones...

Definitely pondering designs for a new cabinet.. not going to invest any more into this one ... Unless I need it for an over flow or something! Haha

The stainless steel background makes it difficult to get a decent photo at this point

So.. I sort of had an epiphany last night in the whiskey/bourbon world... I drove around close to 100 miles yesterday on the hunt for things I didn't have.. total FOMO kind of day and then I realized that there is a TON (maybe even a metric shit ton) of alcohol produced right here in Iowa.

One of the most interesting ones to me is a place that's ironically the closest to me as well called the Lonely Oak Distillery. They are the first legal operation in Iowa to raise their own grain and go straight to alcohol so they control the whole process. They refer to it as "seed to spirit".

Hopefully a 90 minute drive this weekend will bring me to their door!

Picked up this bottle this morning at one of the local grocery stores (Sucks ass that Iowa is a Controlled State) but I think I will be keeping my whiskey/bourbon money local for awhile.

The grocery store will have the regular version back on the shelves on Friday (in case I can't buy it at the Distillery) but I'm hoping to pick some up on my visit!

Also.. a couple of screenshots of Google results for Iowa ...

I like the keep it local, let us know how you like it. The "aged 9 months" would have me a bit worried...
