I did the drip line.... Actually just sat the line in the weather stripping and get no more kazoo at cross winds.

What a great video. I have 2015 Tacoma and it appears they have not solved the problem. Sitting in the dealership now and all they can do is diagnostics. 90 minutes. Waste of time. They need to put this in a wind tunnel or I need to bring it back when there is a hurricane force wind. Frustrating! Really degrades the quality of the vehicle.

2 dollars worth of 1/4in drip line and about 10 minutes worth of your time to solve the issue.....

I just got the TSB done on my 2014 TRD OR and my whistling issue has disappeared. I have driven 1000+ interstate miles since it has been completed and I haven't had so much as a squeal. To those of you still under warranty, I highly recommend the TSB. My Toyota dealer replaced both front door seals even though the passenger side was the only one with the squeal.

I'm new to this forum and this is my first post.

I was having the same cross-wind noise when I took it in for 10k mile service last year. I told them the noise occurs when I'm driving 70-80 mph and there's a cross wind. At the time, the service rep told me they couldn't drive the vehicle that fast to test for it. Such BS. So I was happy to come across this thread. I contacted the service rep today and advised him of T-SB-0170-16 and I have an appointment to get it fixed next week.

    Thanks all for good info.

I made the service appointment, took video of the noise, printed out T-SB and they took care of it the same day.
The new weather stripping is definitely thicker, if I just causally close the door it won't even shut all the way, and best of all no more random kazoo racket..

Nice. I put in some of that white weather stripping posted here before, and nope, didn't fix it :(

I tried something like that too and it didn't work either.
Fortunately I just bought the platinum extended warranty so it was covered but I would highly recommend to anybody having this issue to just pay the money and get it done cuz it's a huge difference.
Just make sure you're actually getting the up-graded rubber and not the old stuff..

I just got mine done 2 days ago and I'm happy so far. Took it on 99 and let the truck stretch her legs. Heavy crosswind and no noise. I put up with it for 80000 miles and now I don't have to deal with it anymore.

I'm about to do it, if nothing else than for that annoying nonstop rattle from the seal drying out. Did you have that too?

Rattle? No. But my cab did creak a lot until I lubed all the jams up with a thin layer of pag oil. Not the right stuff to use but I had some in my box. Worked like a charm.

I had it done a few weeks ago and it worked. No more whistling or reed noises - even on the freeways and bridges with known horrendous cross-wind. It takes a slight more effort to close the door but it's not a big deal.

I used pag oil. But I remember somebody used Honda door seal grease.

Here are pics of the updated seals. I had them installed yesterday. Identical to originals but they have a ~1/8" foam bead glued into the strip on the leading edge.
