I had a hard time finding pictures of the leer 100r on my same truck. So I’m making a quick post to help others. Truck is a white 2018 TRD OR 5’ bed. Shell is a Leer 100r with headliner, removable front window, sliding windoors, and Thule racks. Price was ~2800 installed.

I bought this in Houston Tx at a place called Johnston GT. They were absolutely terrible to deal with. Would not recommend.

I bought mine at the same place.
They promised a certain date for delivery but failed to meet that date twice.

When you say removable rear window are you referring to the window at the front end of the camper shell that is closest to the cab? Is it hinged or do you have to remove it to clean it and the cab rear window?

Yep. The window at the front end of the cab. I think it fully pops out. I haven’t had this long enough to need to clean the rear window of the cab, so I haven’t poped the window out, and I’m not 100% sure.

They took well over 4 months to get mine in. Their estimate was 30 days.

Additional word of caution on Johnson GT: I already owed my leaking ARE bed cap when I called them to vet some questionable information that my local dealer had given me. Basically to see if I could get the same answer twice. I did not. I presented as a potential purchaser, not as an ARE owner. Most troubling, just to test the guy I was talking to I asked what the delivery time was on a particular cap. He stated, in as a cock-sure tone as he could muster, "They are taking about three weeks." I knew that to be a lie, and it was hard to choke back my incredulity. I just snickered knowingly, and I think he realized I knew the real answer and that he had been had. Mine took nine weeks, after having been initially told it would be no more than six weeks by my dealer. Apparently the bed cap dealership industry is where used car salesman rejects end up in their long but inevitable downward spiral. Johnson is just the Houston iteration of what you will experience in your area when you go to buy a bed cap. If this forum would consider doing so, we should develop a list of sales agreement requirements that should be part of any bed cap purchase so as to nail down the deal in favor of the buyer.

    1. Dealer will reward the purchaser a $50 gift card for any accessories dealer stocks or can order for each follow-up warranty visit after the first warranty visit caused by latent vice of dealer's installation.
    2. Dealer agrees that if a third warranty visit is required buyer has the right to return the bed cap for a full refund.
    3. Feel free to add your own...

The profit margin must be massive in these. There is room for us to require these concessions of the dealer. Control the purchase.

Not a fan of those side windows. Reminds me of what you would see on an aluminum top on a 78 Dodge truck. The windows on the orange truck are sweet! Just my opinion anyway. I am guessing there is a function they provide for you. For me it would never work because those knobs sticking out would get snagged on branches and undoubtedly shatter the glass.

I have a Leer 100r ordered on the way and have a set of the Thule areo bars sitting in my garage from another vehicle. I ordered the Thule tracks, headliner, pet screens and used the coupon to get the free removable sliding front window. Pretty pumped to get it on there. What Length bars are on your trucks? I'm pretty sure mine are the 53" length.

To each their own :). I use the 4x4 to get to a few fishing spots, and that’s about it. The Windoors slide open, which lets the dogs stick their heads out, and the opening is small enough I don’t need to worry about them jumping out. They also swing up, making it easier to get gear toward the cab. Good to note about the knobs for other people like you. Thanks!

Im in the market for a shell and found a Leer on Craigslist. The shell is currently on a Gen 3 ACLB but I have a DCLB. Both being the 6 ft bed, should it fit? I just want sure about the shape of the cabs, with the shell fitting flush. Any insight would be much appreciated!
