I have a car cover, but on windy days can be difficult to get on - not to mention the lazy factor:D
So does anyone know where I can get a precut and re-useable white thingy that is put on all cars from the factory - so the sun does not eat up the paint?
I wax with expensive carnauba wax 4x a year, but without a garage I just know it is fading even with that. I just need enough to cover the horizontal parts (hood & roof), next step will be to beg dealer for their contact or invent my own. Thanks to all.

Why not just put that 3M protective film all over the truck and be done with it? With proper paint maintenance it should last quite a long time... no need to be so paranoid.

switch to a synthetic wax if you want durability. Then stop worrying so much. Your paint isn't fading. If you wax every season your paint will last 20+ years.
