White Delight Solid Axle Swap

Building this thread to help whoever attempts this Swap next lol I have the pictures and some of the knowledge so why not.

I will never go SAS with my 08 (i have a 81 crawler), but holy crap that looks so clean!!!!

Alright to begin I ordered everything I could from all pro The Whole friggin shebang. Axle setup around 6,200. Linkage and frame braces 1,500. Gear box with lifetime warranty and steering components 800. Then went to a local shop here in Utah to get the rear 3rd member re-geared to 488 with an ARB air locker about 1,800

 

Thanks guys! Not done yet but it's closer.
The frame braces were easy to install, just removed paint and welded everything in. I followed all pros instructions to the T for the steering box plates. I had to cut out some of the body mount and the radiator mount to get the steering box in, it needs to be that far forward To fit everything

 

I went to superior paint supply in Salt Lake City Utah to have them mix some auto paint for me. It's a black acid primer with 3 coats of paint and an activated gloss clear coat on top. I love how it turned out! Paint cost me about 300 for everything put in rattle cans

Ya I had to use my fingers and toes to count it all out lol if you head over to ALL-PROS website it tells you all the prices. My setup should come out to around 13,000 +

 

So the ARB compressor is mounted to the frame right behind the K&N with a 1" square tube. Ran the wiring harness to the sunglass holder for the air compressor switch and front/rear air locker switches. I didn't want to accidentally bump these switches. They make locking switches if you have to put it down lower though.

 

How it should come from the factory.
