So, i own a 2012 tacoma and the waterpump was failing, about 2 months ago, i replaced the waterpump, thermostat and coolant. Since the two months, i added about 1000 miles and checked the coolant after this trip i had(600miles), i noticed whiteish greyish specs in the coolant, my oil levels are the same and coolant is around the same level per usual. What do you think this could be?

    Something to worry about?

Nope. I wouldn't worry about it.
If the truck is running cool, and you are not loosing fluid, it's good.
Worry about something else. Like the price of groceries.....

what could it be? I was just thinking maybe residue from the radiator because of the new coolant, or i just missed some old coolant from before.

Looks like a bit of sediment, might be leftover.

Did you use tap water or distilled water or 50-50 coolant?

It looks like a chemical reaction.
Who knows? it could be dry residual cleaning solution used on the new aluminum pump housing?
It may not be a bad thing. Maybe it's a good thing. Maybe the bad stuff, mixed with the good stuff. And now it's "ok" stuff.

    Honestly, I have no idea.

i flushed the system with distilled once and filled it with the 50/50 pink toyota coolant. I think there was left over coolant from before that mixed with the new coolant(thing is, old coolant didnt show this)
