Under 40 chiming in. White out looks good depending on truck color and mods as others have said. Just make sure they aren't lazy and scrub the blue off for you.

I think it depends on the truck and the chosen wheels. I went blackwall out, but I think mine would probably look just as good with the ORWL out.

On black or dark colored trucks with black or dark colored wheels, the RWL breaks everything up and looks best, otherwise it seems to all run together.

I would have to agree on the Silver and White letter combo.

I’ve ran them both ways, I think the black walls look cleaner. To each his own.

Sorry, not sorry; Somewhat of a dead thread. I'm in the same debate right now. I recall making a pledge back in the day with my old truck before the Tacoma that if I have a choice of having white letters on a tire, even if it costs a few more bucks, that I would always opt for the white letters. I must honor my own words.

Plus, this should make all the decisions:

    'Nuff said!

EDIT: Now that I think about it, my "pledge" predates my old truck as well. I believe it stemmed from my first car...a 1992, turquoise metallic Z-24 (classic!) with white-lettered Goodyears. On the third set of tires, I went cheap and went all black. Looked like crap. It really depends on the vehicle as well and if there's enough sidewall to frame it.

I saw a set of STT pros, 295/75/20 on a 1/2 ton Silverado last week. Neither side of the tires had white lettering.

I thought they all came with white letters on one side.

If you have BFG KO2, show off the all white letters! Classic look! Anything else, black.

I've always been a white out guy (over 40). Now it really depends on wheels and other mods. With dark wheels definitely black out. With light colored wheels white out looks good. 20190511_130020.jpg
