I'm going to change the air filter on a 2003 2.4 liter.

I read on the internet that its a good idea to put some lithium grease on the rubber edges of the filter in order to get a better seal to keep the dust out.

Is there any reason I should not do this?

    thanks

I see no reason to even do it, however it should not hurt anything. Grease is used to make a better seal on many things.

that K&N grease looks good, but I already have some lithium grease....so I'm wondering if it is ok to use since I read it on the internet....

and as you know, everything we read on the net is true :p
