Got tired of the chrome bumper and chrome grill surround. I just don't think chrome looks good on a white truck. Instead of spending a lot of $$ on a new painted bumper and grill, I used the white plasti dip to do the bumper and grill. Also used the plasti dip glossifier, I think it turned out pretty good...what you think?

Did you just apply over original bumper finish? Any prep?

Plastidip just requires a clean surface. No sanding or prep required.

OP, Looks great. I was thinking about buying a new painted grill but I might try this first!

Like Spixelz said, just need to clean the surface really good. Just spray the plasti dip on evenly and use several coats so it covers all the areas.

I went and priced a new rear bumper and the grill and decided I would try this before I went and spent that much money. Good thing about this stuff is if it turned out looking like crap it comes back off lol. Thanks for the comments.

    Whoa Hello!

I've been searching for the cheapest place to find a color matched grill but dang plastiderp might be the way to go!

    Looks good OP

Did you remove the parts before plastidip or tape up?

Removing the grill would definitely help or you could tape off.

    Too few to list.
Looks great. I was thinking of just vinyl wrap on the bumper for durability but this might be an alternative.

    How's the colour match?

Oh yeah gotta have the bolt face decal. Sorry, not good with the abbreviations and all. Also new to this forum so I'm trying to figure out how to reply to a specific comment.

Color match looks fine, not too hard to match white I guess. Not perfect but you can't tell unless you put your face up to it.

Looks fantastic. I have been wanting to do the same to my bumper and grill. Wasn't sure how it would turn out though (color match), I plasti dipped all the logos on the truck black looks great and surprised at how easy it was.

This maybe my next project if I can get my hands on some white plasti dip.
