I think if I decide to change them I'll go with Amber LED's. Would be less noticeable and still light up amber. Honestly my first thought was to trash the amber bulbs in there and just go with clear but now that they are installed I don't mind them so much.

yeah... i think a little color is nice... helps break it up a little. didn't know how much you were trying to "clean it up". i like it the way it is personally.

    Alright buddy,

Got a thread up with some not great pictures, but finally had time to take a couple. You decided if you like how your tail lights came out?

You can always paint the amber bulbs silver, or maybe white?, 1 light coat is all you need and the amber shines through when turned on

I painted all my amber bulbs with 1 light silver coat, they look silver, but when light up they glow amber

Took most of the day. I took it slow though. Had plenty of time. Actually I think the tails are easier than the headlights. Just be real easy with cut off wheel on the dremel and then the taping off takes forever. Simple really.... just time consuming.

Way to take the cojones to grind those taillights. :) I did the Black taillight mod for mine and i couldnt be happier. The white isnt really my taste, but hey to each their own. Id be interested to see what they wouldve looked like if you did the same mod but didnt paint the reflectors. Thats how i did my BTLM anyway. Maybe a thought to consider for anyone else that tries this

Thanks man. I thought about not painting the reflectors but then again I wanted something that didn't look stock at all. So that was the reason for not painting the reflectors. I almost painted them black but then went with white thinking if it doesn't match or I don't like it I can always paint them black. Turns out I like them white and they match the paint perfectly :)
