I think I'm just going to turn mine into a LT desert racer/rock crawler. You're giving me too many ideas to ever get to if I did an expedition build.

Water tank straps will be secured by turnbuckles and solid bar in the straps and then wired to prevent them from backing out.

This fab work is amazing! Are you planning to put the bed back on or are you going with something different? Looks like everything is tucked under the frame so far.

Yeah the bed will be going back on. Designed everything to not really take up any more space then the spare tire and cross member did when that was on.

New CV's for the truck. I havec tried everything to use my OEM parts and just get new cages and internals but I guess this is about the only thing that I can do to get it rolling again. Short of buying RCV axles and I don't have the funds for that.

Skid plate that will have everything mounted to it. Air tank, compressor, water pump and then will bolt under the water tank.

So I found out some bad news............my passenger side frame is bent at the bumpstop strike pad and is off by almost 3/4 inch. I guess the huge tire carrier on that side isn't such a good idea. :(

Now that it's boxed in wouldn't it be twice as strong as before or more so? Seems more like you are just stuck with the hight difference. That Strictly a guess.

Could water potentially effect the compressor and pump during a river crossing since it's in the bottom of the frame?

It could but the full electrical system will be sealed and the compressor and water pump will not be turned on while under water. But that is a good point that I didn't touch on yet. :)

You may want to route the intake of the compressor up to a higher point on the truck. Moisture in your compressor isn't good, and if the intake is submerged I think you'll be taking some water in even if the motor isn't running at the time.

If you add much length to the intake, you may want to adapt up to a larger hose so that the motor isn't burdened by pulling through the extra length. This is a common mod on shop compressors to locate the intake point outside of the shop.

Had to make my own adapter to go from the compressor to the standard compressor fittings. Should hold pretty well.
