I do also use a BJ press kit (sleeves). The one that the auto shop loans out.
I have since bought my own so I don't need to borrow it.

    Much like this:

But it looks like a bearing press kit may work as well.

I would also suggest swapping out the washers from the ones WL provides to something harder. See Crom's thread about what may happen to them.
I did find harder ones at Fastenal for one of the sizes, I am planning to get there this week to see if they have the other size washers as well.

The large bushings are in there good. Haven't applied the heat though. That is next.
May get to them this week.

A few mods here and there and counting....
Do share the sizes if you get a chance and way ahead of you. Bought my own BJ press kit. I am ready to tackle this. Thanks for all the helpful tips.

I just took the washer into Fastenal with me and we got it matched up.
I am planning on heading there today to see if they have the other ones too.

Went to my local Fastenal this morning.
The guy said that the larger washer is not available any harder than the Whiteline one, but the other is (which I bought a while ago).
He asked if there was enough space to double the larger washer with one of the harder washers. That may work depending on how much extra space is there.

That's about the same method I was using. Except the cup I had seemed to be a perfect fit over the sleeve. I think the biggest issue was the inability to even get it started in the arm at the correct angle. I read many posts where they claim the moog bushings go in a little way in fairly easy which would be a tremendous help. I'm sure Whiteline is a good company and the bushings are good quality but my goal here is to stir up some discussion and maybe prevent someone from making the mistake I did. I definitely put my icons to the test so we'll see how tough these moog arms are soon enough.

If it matters any, I did measure the parts with a digital caliper. I forget the exact numbers but the bushings were .03-.05 mm bigger than the arm. And the arm was not a perfect circle, it was slightly oval by .03 mm but it was the same from front to back on both cups so I assumed that was normal. I'm not sure what would cause both of them to turn that shape if it wasn't.

A note for anyone considering doing this with a balljoint press, you quickly run out of room to use all the correct sleeves and cups unless you have a very large one. Some kind of hydraulic press or jack is a must. The only good news about the balljoint press is I got one hell of a workout.
