It is possible to Broland and get decent mpgs…just need to take off all Brolander gear on the Tacoma and put it on a Prius.

I think the Tacoma is one of the few vehicles that truly transcends income brackets.
People who make a lot of money buy them and people one paycheck away from being broke buy them, which is why high gas price discussion does not mean much for some.

Stock TRD Sport here...as long as I get at least 350 miles per tankful, I'm doing fine.

EDIT: definitely depends on driving habits.

Self employed so I keep track of mileage and fuel purchased. Not rich, not poor…we do “ok” :). My logs compared from last year/old truck to this year/new truck.

    Jan-May ‘21 $1331
    Jan-May ‘22 $1387

Only looks bad at the pump, overall not bad at all. Curious how close it will be at the end of the year.

Unless you are on a fixed income or on the ragged edge, the price of gas is more psychological I think.

Yep. Recently read a book of how numbers and statistics are used to influence people.

Numbers are funny thing, I’ll have slow months and busy months, then my year end totals are eerily close, usually within a couple hundred bucks.

Montana should sue Chevee immediately before their reputation is besmirched further...

Don’t judge the Chevy Montana until you see one lifted with tires and a pro grille.

Thanks for sharing that picture of the 1957 International Harvester Travelette. Rare to see pick-up trucks with front and rear carrying Full Floating Axles, that is a real heavy duty truck.

Today news post California average gas prices hit $6.15 by AAA. A Chevron in Alameda LA $8.05, Mobil in Beverly Blvd $7.29,
My daughter lives near Boulder , Colorado, there prices, the high was $4.59 this weekend.

interesting on the island of Oahu today, Costco was $4.84 and Safeway was the same prices. The article was advising the Tourist , there are many other gas stations besides Costco.
Big Island Costco was $5.19 a week ago. The lines are alway super long , 6 lines and three stations per line.
Hawaii petroleum was buying most of there oil from Russia, till a few weeks ago. So we can expect higher prices in the near future.
America was buying oil from Russia is just under 3.5 % of our total oil purchases.

Just a side note: Kona ,Hawaii Costco is the third largest in sales of goods in America. Honolulu has the number Costco in sales in America.

Costco on the Big island has a gas tanker w/trailer, every single day, and some days they will need to call a second gas tanker, (with a Trailer ) always long lines.

lol I knew that the mileage is gonna be horrendous on the taco when I placed the order for it and then picked it up two days ago. Say good bye to the 17-34mpg from my 2016 wrx that I traded in for the taco. Needed a truck to do truck things especially after buying a home. Perfectly content with that.

I get at least 350 per tankful on my Sport DCSB/AT...which is 22 gallons, btw.

Since you have a manual transmission, you should get better gas mileage.

Will Diesel engines get more popular again? There is a company in America that fits Diesel engines in the third gens Tacomas, cost about $29,000?

All the 3gens Tacoma gas tank capacity is 21.1. Including the 2022 Tacoma

That's what I figured as well. My taco has only 263 miles so far and I haven't filled her up once yet lol. The gas needle is JUST under half tank. Highway travel should bring a decent mileage I'm presuming. We'll see after I break her in.
