I love dogs, but I get too attached.

When they start to deteriorate, I can't deal and I have a real hard time with it.

This is usually how my husky Feona stays when she's in the front seat. I'm not sure on legality of this, though, and it seems as though ICBC and Motor Vehicle Safety laws have no definitive answer to it. ICBC "suggests" dogs stay in the back seat, but no real laws?

No laws exist that I know of, unless they are caught riding in the drivers lap. :turtleride: The suggestion about back seat riding is so that they dont set off the airbag, and that they arent a distraction.

My truck is an Access Cab and the entire rear seat area is full of gear and my fridge. There is no rear seat.

That's what I was thinking, I know there's definitely laws against being in your lap. Usually she stays in the back anyways, there's a small platform so she doesn't sink into the cubbies between the tiny access cab seats. I would be more comfortable with her in the front seat if I had a sleepypod crash rated harness for her.

That's why I want a canopy. I can fit myself and a friend, or myself and my dog and gear but not all three in my access cab. Ideally the gear would go in the bed tied down and everyone else would be in the cab.

My Redbone Coonhound. Obviously, not in my truck in this pic, but she likes to go everywhere with me. 2149A33A-1F59-4DB2-9131-BE3AF724B99E.jpg

Thanks, man. Here she is, when she was a bit younger, working a groundhog hole with my big male. They’re a formidable team!E688607B-8742-4DCB-9CB3-6D98800FF89A.jpg
