My truck is on 33s and it has no problems holding 5/6 on the highway, like I said buddy the solution is the skinny pedal.

I own my 15 TRD and have an 18 SR5 work truck. 2nd gen, hands down has a better drivetrain. Other than the driving characteristics, the 3rd gen does most other things better.

Here is your answer: Roads are built with a "crown" at the centre line so water drains off the middle of the road and into the ditch at the side of the road. So, if you build a vehicle that is heavier on the driver's side (left side) it will sag or be slightly lower on the driver's side. Now place the vehicle on a crowned road that is high toward the middle of the road and the vehicle will now sit level on a road that isn't level. Ever notice that almost all vehicles have the gas tank on the driver's side? Now you know why.

They also are notorious pieces of shit lol. Sweet you can run big tires while the truck sits at the dealer for its 1092038 repair.

Also the cheapest one with a diesel is 47,085 new. That makes high end Tacomas look Cheap.

The 47k truck makes the 46k look cheap? I fail to see how that works exactly.

I mean, thats why I've got a 4banger taco. Proven motor, slow, but should be reliable. Better than the alternative midsize trucks out there. Do I think new Tacomas are unbreakable? Hell no, but they're still better than the competitors in my opinion.

When your talking about a fully kitted out limited or a pro compared to a no frills truck with just an engine and transmission, ya it is.

Direct inject the 4.0, get a few more HP and MPGs and then stuff that and the trans into a 3rd gen. WIN WIN.

I guess it depends on the valve you put on the “frills” and the pro grill. A lot of guys are spending another 10k+ on whatever model anyway adding wheels tires replacing the super amazing “pro” suspension so I think at the end of the day the price difference really isn’t the big factor it’s just about your personal preferences. I like the 3rd gen and lots of other Toyota rigs to but the market has gone to far and the cost to performance is getting farther and farther away from each other. The taco is a good truck for sure but a 50k it is not regardless of the trim package you choose. The used prices are even worse. People think they are worth what they where bran new with 100k miles on them it’s nuts.

All I'm saying is that a gladiator with a diesel is expensive compared to a Tacoma. If the pro isn't for you (and I agree its way to much for what you get) you can get an Offroad and still have like 10k left over for mods compared to a gladiator with a diesel.

Americancheese wants a 30 day ban on anyone voting above a 3 so they can reflect on their poor decision.

He wanted to post this himself but he hasn’t made it home from work yet because the truck can’t get to 3rd gear with the 295s….

    Is there an "LOL" button?

    You guys debate quite impressively.

I'm at the higher end for grading since I am happy with my first-time-new-purchase of a 3rd Gen Tacoma.
