    Maybe?

I actually love this little truck, keeping it for 20+ years. Good power, MPGs, reliable, awesome off-road/on road, fun to drive, looks fantastic and not too big for trails or city driving.

This truck would be absolutely perfect if there was about 6” more legroom in the back.

The new SD is definitely not the best looking truck they've had. That step and grille are horrendous. I'll cross my fingers that they are smart enough not to add them to the f150s, wishful thinking huh haha. I'm looking for a loaded xlt 5.0 without sunroof or a tremor no sunroof and 5.0. there are plenty out there currently. If the 24s are less then desirable then I'll pick up a 23. Interior of the lariat is not good looking, I don't like the brown interior and anyone that pays what dealers are marking raptors up to (least my state) is an idiot. I wouldn't mind a 23 SD but holy cow do they think they are made of gold. I still got a few months to decide.

    I was actually looking at a brand new 2018 ford f150 fx4 with a 5.0, but no MT option. Here I am…

For the right person they aren't a bad truck. Back seat is useless in my opinion. And I've had too many issues with them. They aren't the same Toyota that people reflect on from the past. I think the power sucks, mpg is horrible for what they are, lord forbid you hook a trailer up to it. Fun to drive and off road ability, they don't do anything for me. They do look good and I do like my seat covers, that's where it ends for me.

I don't think the stamped hood looks bad on the SD, but that might be too much on the 150, and I think it looks better on the 22, than the 23. I could live with out it on either one. Raptor will probably look the same, Ford usually does not refresh the Raptor, yes Raptors are insanely priced.

I love mine. It might help that my last vehicle was a 2005 Honda Pilot, and my last truck was a 1989 F-150.

Fastest vehicle I have owned (again, always been crap before), best brakes I have had in years, it looks pretty cool (to me).

It drives the way I wanted a truck to feel when I was a kid, which is half the point for me. It's like a man toy my wife was cool with.

I get about 22 MPG for most drives. We have lots of roundabouts instead of lights and stops, so I can maintain between 20 and 45, where it frequently hits 30 mpg when I just roll down the window and cruise like I got nowhere to be. (Also totally flat here by the coast).

Plan to get ARB Lockers once the warranty is up, but really it has crushed it off-road in the swamps here. I have traction boards just in case, but haven't needed them yet.

The stamped Super duty in the hood looks good. Definitely wouldn't look good on the 150s. I see a few f150 limited that have the emblem? On the front of the hood and they look so cheap with it, I feel. Around here in OR 3.5 raptors are about a 100k and raptor Rs are 150k plus. A dealer 20-30 miles away had a Raptor R for 180k!!! Sure enough some clown bought it, I see it from time to time but a 60-70k markup is plain stupid.

One thing I do like about Tacomas is the lock to lock turning radious. I can't do this on every street but there are a lot of streets I can pull from the curb cut the wheel all the way to the left make a u turn and go back the same direction from which I came. That's if traffic is clear in both directions.

the tacoma is a great truck for what it is.... im not knocking it i owned and 2nd gen sr5 and now a 23 trd off road and had multiple f-150's in between
is it small? yes it is but too small to live with? no
is it lacking the newest tech and features? yes but i can live without it

i can go on about how its not perfect for "my needs" or for what the general public wants or needs
but it is perfect for an everyday truck that does everything just fine

would i switch for a full size truck hell yes i would but not for the 80k plus price tag

loaded tacoma 4x4 in the 50k range

loaded tundra or f-150 4x4 almost double and TBH i dont see the new tundra or f-150 as reliable as a 3rd gen tacoma
ill take my too small, underpowered, dated electronics midsize pickup for the best 10 years of worry free miles and still be worth something when im done with it

thats all rant is over lol

I like my truck. So much, I bought a second one in red.
If anyone is looking for this truck, my wife picked it up at Fry's grocery store (Krogers). She said there were boxes filled with Hot Wheels.

Did they have one in Celestial Silver, it’s hella rad. It’ll last longer than a F-150 too!

Love mine. I plan to teach my kids how to drive a manual transmission in this very Taco. That being said, I'll probably never buy another truck. The Tacoma will soon be retired to a weekender and project/errand vehicle. It's nice to always have a truck on the property.
Hard to believe it's been over 4 years with it, TBH. Time flies.

This is my second 3rd Gen Tacoma ORDCSB. Lost first one in accident-walked away with only minor injuries. That convinced me to get the same vehicle again.
Love it and enjoy every ride in it! Great packages as advanced technology and premium off-road, as well as LED headlights. Added some mods, but generally really happy with the truck.
There is always room for improvement for Toyota, but I got what I was willing to pay for.

I loved mine. 2021 TRD Off-Road. Was rear ended and rolled twice. Wrapped around a tree. The truck saved my life.
