In its current state, the third gen Tacoma is the perfect truck for me, right here, right now. I chose it's perfect, because right now it really is. There's always an idea of what could do more or what could be more spacious, but I'm always brought back to how it's just a fantastic truck and I wouldn't change to a new vehicle.

I would, however, consider adding something larger into the family, possibly a Sequoia(?) but by no means would I replace my Tacoma. I might replace it in a couple years for a refresh or a hybrid powertrain in an access cab but that's just as unlikely as a hybrid being put into a double cab (not CM) Tundra so chances are the Tacoma will remain the perfect truck.

    I came from a 5th gen 4runner.

We camped in the back of it but since we had a rear drawer set up with an extended platform for sleeping, we didnt have much headroom. Decided to sell it and get a 2nd gen but the prices were still stupid high, so we put that money into a down payment for a new 2023 instead. So far, I like it more than the 5th gen as I'm also still daily driving my 1st gen Tacoma. I think power is fine (I don't have a bunch of mods, nor need them, and currently on stock size tires. I might consider a tune in the future to address the gear hunting (mostly noticeable when driving uphill). Don't need it yet.

I'm loving my third gen, she's a little slugish but always gets the job done.
