I have Ironman and don’t feel that at all. Especially on forest roads. It is more responsive on the freeway but not jarring at all. The off road was as jarring.

As an update to OP I canceled my order for the basic OME kit through the shop I was originally planning on going through, after two months and still no sign of a delivery date with the shop owner having no idea when they'll be sent up here I'm putting suspension back on my drawing board. The shop owner was a complete prick when I asked if he could rush them considering it's been 1 1/2 months since my original promised delivery date. Maybe I'll take this as an excuse to save the extra cash for some OME BP51s!

Funny enough, one of the Denver guys reading this thread (don't know if he cares to be tagged or not) PM'ed me and let me drive his access cab with 2.0 toytechs and AAL. Still undecided. If anything maybe more conflicted LOL

I haven’t read the entire thread, are people recommending BP-51s? For the money they wouldn’t really be on my radar. I have heard of a few issues and 1 of the 2 sets my friends shop installed had issues. Plus complicated adjusting.
I would recommend Dobinsons MRR (MRA?) setup over them any day, I believe they are similarly priced.

Buy once, cry once. I have never purchased anything from AccuTune Off-Road (absolutely would) and they really do put out the extra effort to make a good decision in the purchasing process (and a vendor for TW). DownSouth Motorsports is another good source (TW vendor).

Non-vendor is Ben at Filthy Motorsports in Denver. I have done business with that company. Much like AccuTune, they custom order the shocks tuned.

Personally, sending CO shocks out for servicing just blows my mind. Once the shocks are tuned to what you want, service them yourself. You should be checking every 3-6 months N2 pressures anyway. I have had a few members from TW/Tundras to rebuild or check N2 pressures. I have seen people destroy shocks because of oil/N2 leaks and the reasoning "I can't have my vehicle down that long" is common. This is why I'm big on knowing how to rebuild the shocks yourself. Don't wait until a "leak" appears. Get on a service schedule so this just doesn't happen.

From what I gather the issues of the blown seals was within the first 1 year of production, much like duds of a new generation of vehicles. ARB has an excellent warranty as well so I'm not worried. Adjustment is definitely an issue but I have a trustworthy shop a few hours south that I would go through for the initial perfect adjustment.

Finally had a minute to get some prices. Would save at least $1500 and have a really good ride on and off road with this setup. Yes it doesn't have the leaf springs but he can add a leaf kit he wants for ~$500 and still spend $1500-2000 less then the King kit.

Except the Dakar (ARB) packs that squeak like were talking about here, and they destroy shackles and can fully bind if you don't trim them. I do like the way they drive, but that is bad product development.

The early BP-51s had a few issues. However, OME (ARB) being OME sent out entire replacement shocks to anyone having problems without question. They still will. BP-51s are a great shock...however, for the same money I would go with King, ADS, or Fox.

That’s sort of my point. The service is great but at that price point you might as well jump to a nicer setup. Plus Dakars... never put Dakars on your truck.

In my experience, small stuff like freeway cracks, small rocks, small roots, etc, are better handled by tires. Try letting some air out or running softer tires.

Just to clarify, we do not order shocks from Fox or King with a tune in them. We custom valve shocks in-house. Built to order  Appreciate the great feedback in this thread!

Good to know. More of a quality control to maintain the customer absolutely gets what they order?

If I ever had a reason to go back to LA, seeing your operation would be a damn good tour.

Have you looked into the Toytec Boss? I have the below and also wheel in Colorado and they do great. I do stick to Moderate rated trails and below with an occasional 7-8 difficult but don't like the stress...lol. Their shop is right here in Denver and their service is great.IMG_1645.jpg
