Who actually uses their V6 Tacoma as the truck it's supposed to be?

I have towed several times a Teremite, Dingo (the tool), trencher. Then I have also put mulch, gravel, topsoil in the bed. Just got done puting about 1500 lbs of gravel in there. Yes I was riding the frame.

I typically tow a 16ft tandom axel car hauler with Quads on it or use it to pick up lumber.

Never seem to take pics of it though:rolleyes:

    Hey ya' all,

I use my 06 DC (non-trd) V6 short bed with factory tow package to tow our 21' camper. The trailer grosses out around 5k when we are loaded to go with a tongue weight of around 800#. This is the end of our second season towing w/ no problems. Just before our last trip out I had the suspension TSB done. Wow what a difference!! Rear end used to squat quite a bit and hit the spring bumpers once in a while even with the weight distributing hitch. New springs and shocks made a big difference in handling. I had to drop the hitch head about 1.5 inches after the TSB but now the truck and trailer ride dead level.

The right hitch system makes all the difference in the world. I use a Reese/Draw tight hitch with weight distribution and dual cam sway control. And the Prodigy proportional electric brake controller is a must on this rig. We've towed up across Garrett county Maryland (elevations up to 2900') several times each season with no problems. The truck averages about 10 MPG towing.

Love this truck (other than that damn tic..tic..tic under the hood)

I have an 08 TRD Sport double Cab. I towed our 16 ft travel trailer some 5000 miles from Manitoba, through Utah and Back. The trailer is about 3000 lbs loaded. I love the truck. I passed people going up 8% grades at 11000 ft altitude in Colorado. The people we passed were compact cars and minivans that weren't towing anything. We did a little off raoding in Canyonlands. We've done more in this truck in the few months that we've owned it than in any other vehicle we've had.

I've towed with my truck, I've wheeled my truck, I've used the bed to move furniture/beach equipment/tools/people/lawn equipment/whatever the hell I need move.

I would say I used my truck for what its built for.

No way. The major flaw I see there is that you didn't fill the bed. How the hell can you say you're using it to it's full potential with that piddly amount of beer?
