Wheeling hard is fun...but I'm really not down for breaking anything on my 4Runner...so maybe we go with your original idea. lol

CVs and tie rods are gonna go... it happens and they're easy to replace.

Don't go blowing up your gears though. Only fools do that.

"Beauty and the Beasts Build"! The 4runner is still looking nice and clean and the Taco shows its hard use. I think it fits. If you want it to apply to the both of you i'll let you decide who is the beauty and who is the beast.
Or ripping your bumper off in pcs. :anonymous: At least the 4runner has better departure angles than our Tacos.

Eh, it'll be alright for what I want to do. I'm leaning more toward staying at 35s for reliability on extended trips. The more I think about what I'll use my truck for (not just trails) the more I think I'm better served with less weight on the corners. Hell I'm thinking of selling my steel bumper and going aluminium in that regard. Maybe once we get the runner up to 35 status I'll chop up more stuff, or build a dedicated trail rig.

37's sound kinda crazy to me. I will happily encourage anyone else to do it but I agree with your thoughts on the use of your truck. When going to 37's it kinda takes it to a trail vehicle and not a journey vehicle. I'm all about the journey! I've been thinking about replacing my front slimline bumper with a full aluminum w/hoops. It will give me better approach angles than my slimline and keep the weight about the same as my steel slimline. I'm just waiting to see how uneven the truck looks with the rear HC w/swing out. I fully expect it to look back heavy and need to beef the front up to even it out.

I really like your slimline on your truck. To me it looks better than the full bumpers do on other 3rd gens, but a full plate or tube bumper would give you better approach and protection for sure.

I really like it also. It looks really clean. I'm already scratching up whats left of the stock bumper and I think the front will look light with a HC swing out on the back. I may be wrong and it will still look good which is why I'm going to wait and see it when the rear gets installed. I also agree about the 3rd gen full front options. I dont even know which one I would get. It would be a full plate because I'm not a fan of the tube bumpers unless your going full Baja build. I wouldnt want a DC for that type of build.

Lol never. I can't ignore this extreme amount of sexy. I'll probably order tires next week if I can ever decide on what I want lol at least I've got tires for @MellyMel figured out.

Can't wait to see it on new tires.

Going to be a very fun Jambo this year...

Will be bringing plenty of spare parts though...

I'm getting her some Grabber X3s like Steven has but in 285/70/17 (33s)

I like the Grabbers too, but I'm really trying to be weight conscious of the corners this year to help avoid breaking as much stuff.

Lots of guys run heavy tires with minimal problems, so of course I still think to myself that 37s wouldn't be totally out of the realm of possibility so long as limit up travel with the bumps before I can hack up the firewall. I swear... I'm the worst when it comes to these decisions lol
