I started installing the 12v solutions kit yesterday, but got held up by the door lock T harness. It did not fit my stock plugs. I emailed them with photos so hopefully they can send me the right one. Did anyone else have this issue?

I installed the Accessorides remote start today, install wasn’t awful.

I really like that it unlocks all the doors with one button push!!

Does anyone know if you start it with the remote, can you turn it off with the remote or set a turn off after so many minutes? Thus far I’ve only figured out that you have to press the brake pedal without the key in.

Factory set to 15 min. run time, not sure about pressing button to turn off. But you can press button without touching break turn off and get out lock doors(pit stop). Then unlock doors get in turn on key and drive off, use it all the time.
Now to the run time I had them set it to 30 min. runtime for K9 unit.
Hope that answers some of your questions.

There’s a slow blinking blue light on the antenna…can that be turned off or the flashing mean anything of significance?

    Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

I don't know about turning it off, but I don't notice it. I mounted mine behind the rear view mirror. So I don't see it,it's signaling it's on,and receiving.

I've wanted to add remote start for a while, but as ridiculous as it sounds, I don't want to replace the OEM fob. I like my custom case. lol.

Maybe its time to bite the bullet and do it.

I use both on key ring. With the Accessorides and set to 30 min. run time.

Hey all, I wanted to offer this on-topic information with the hope that it is helpful. Though there are many quality companies that offer these kits. The company this information refers to is called Compustar. They offer several proven full-featured remote starter kits. The one that I have a positive time-proven experience with the link below. This offering most likely is not new to many of you. But making you aware of it is only a part of the information I want to convey. Past this is a process that I found and benefited from by chance that I can now pass on to you. It is not magic or complicated. I just know that it works and leaves you with a quality full-featured remote starter at a greatly reduced investment. There is some risk. Although not likely, this would be if the unit is not offered at the sale price again which I have taken advantage of three different times thus far. This aside here is the process.

    1. Become a member or find a friend or family member who is a Best Buy's total tech program. Cost $200. Lots of benefits beyond this singular effort.
    2. Monature the item for a flash sale. Normal price $469.99. Fairly regularly offered for $139.99 to total tech members.
    3. Buy the unit and schedule the free installation you are entitled to as a Best Buy Total Tech member.

At the end of the day, you have $139 invested in what would have been $469.99 plus the actual quoted $200 install fee. $669.99 plus tax vs. $139 all in. Not to ignore the $200 membership fee. Admittedly $339.00 would be invested if you can find no other use for the membership. But I have been a Total Tech member for a few years now. And am constantly benefiting from all that is included with this package. I have had three of these units installed and have considerable time using them and they are solid. Have a look at this program I hope it is helpful.

With the Accessorides system, is there an issue of plugging in my UltraGauge into the OBD port and running it as normal? I watched a YouTube video of an install and one of the guys had an issue with a cheapo bluetooth OBD reader causing his starter to not turn off, however when he unplugged it then everything worked fine. I don't want to lose my accessibility of my UltraGauge.

I am having issues with the chime when the start command is sent to the truck. The chime telling me that the truck has started always plays as it should. However, I only get a chime on the fob about 1/2 the time verifying that the command was sent . The truck always starts even when the chime doesnt play. I have changed batteries and reset the module several times. Works great and I love this mod otherwise. Just wondering if anyone else has run into this issue? 12V solutions told me to reset the module.

For the Accessory or 12V systems, is the App the same CarLink setup? 12v Brands, there's the other that does not, but the UI/App seems to be the same. Do you get remotes and the app with the accessory version, or is it one or the other? I like having an app and would say that way, but I do like the remotes on the accessory and computer. They seem to use the same remotes.

Does anyone know how it compares to the Compustart drone setup? I have wanted to add a remote start for ages and have thought about which would be good. Plug-and-play is important due to having too many other mods and not available space for things that are not plug and play.

Do you need a fuse tap on any of these? I am curious as I am tapped out on those. I've been meaning to look into wiring an additional fuse block to handle it, but for now, just avoid it.

12V solution has the option of using your key fob, it’s the cheaper option by the way. However, the range would be the same as your key fob obviously.

I have 12v solution for the past couple of years and I like it. However, I agree with the above the remotes are thin and cheaply built. I have a small crack in one of them and I have to call them and see if they sell just the shell as I couldn’t find any info on their website.

Any 2nd gen remote start kits work with the OEM keyfob? I'd love to just tap lock 3-5 times for it to start.
