    I dont trust anyone... i even think im suspect at times working on stuff..that from a lifetime mechanic

    I understand the idea but I wouldn't give you a dollar more if you had receipts from the dealer than from a local mechanic shop. If you really cared and did the maintenance yourself, I think that is worth more then some paper work showing you had some clueless nitwit taking care of it. All that shows me is you really didn't care for your vehicle all that much.

    My 23 still has the free oil changes and stuff. After that they are going to be done by me. Cheaper and I know its done right. Sometimes the dealer near me will be 2 to 3 weeks out. Not a huge deal but I like to get the service done somewhat close to when its due. If you do it yourself you dont have to wait!
