    Hey I resemble that clown shoe..... There must be some really shady dealers/people out there selling these for that low. Even $300 is well below dealer cost. If I'm going to sell it at or below cost, I'd rather send it back to Toyota and do a claim on it.

    Yeah I wonder if they are doing damage claims on them and Toyota is letting them keep them. We haven't tried sending one back yet, but Toyota wants most of our stuff back.

    i assumed it was but through an insurance claim not toyota. once the insurance agreed to pay out for it, they didn't care and some craft folk have been selling them after "disposing" of them

    I don't think they are breaking them on purpose. I got one with 1 tab broke and during transit it broke another one. The tabs on the far ends are very thin and these were the ones that were broke on mine. I just glued the one back on and it worked fine. I will say that the grill was packed very well and I don't know what the seller could have done better. The seller stated that you can have up to 4 tabs broken before you run into problems, take that for what it is worth. Only thing I know is the one side that has a broken tab is not looser that the one with the tab I fixed and I think it would have been fine with the two broke tabs.

    I'm really happy with paying $150 for mine with 1 broken tab... I just couldn't bring myself to pay $4-450 for a new one.
