primarily the dealer, a mechanic i use, or myself.

i would only use a jiffylube type place in a pinch, but would follow up as soon as i could with it done again at one of the above... i just don't trust them.

The place that is installing my lift on Friday currently has alignments for $80, which I obviously need after the lift, and oil changes for $30 (cost). I want synthetic so it will cost more but I'm still pretty stoked to kill 3 birds with one stone.

I've been taking it to Toyota for $30. Gonna switch over to Mobile 1 I think and start doing them myself now.

I have to admitt as ive got a older I would previously let the dealership do it on whatever vehicle I had, but I looked at the DIY section on oil changes and just did it myself sunday. It is not worth my time or money to go to a dealer. It is quite simply the easiest thing I have ever done on a truck. I was truely amazed that this truck is as simple as it is. I will admit if I got oil changes thrown in when I bought the truck I would have them do it but I didnt so its all me all the time

There's a difference between can't change my oil and don't change my oil myself.

My ability to do so is evident by my other mechanical projects I take on.

Of course I can change my oil, but why bother when I won't save any money and only spend my valuable time?

Though, as mentioned earlier in this thread, I'm gonna start doing them myself cause I don't have a gf now and have plenty of free time:burnrubber:

There is nothing sad about it.. You dont get what I am saying. She Tells me to take it to the dealership so I do.. it doesnt matter if I got a letter from Toyota signed by the CEO telling me how i can do it myself and save recipets and what not she would still tell me to take it to the dealership.

so you know what im going to do.. take it to the dealership..

Man up ! DYI. What she gona do, cut you off til you take it to the dealer ? Lets see no sex and get all dirty and oily under a truck or go to the dealer. I take it back. Forget being a man go to the dealer. That's what I'd do. [IMG]
