    Email from dealer to dealer:

    To whom it may concern:

This email is in regards to Mr ______________ 2016 Toyota Tacoma. We do not know to what degree, but we have found evidence that the frame is bent on the above mentioned vehicle. I have marked several places on the vehicle where body lines just don't line up and are not uniform around the truck, and you can see where the bed has come forward and hit the back cab of the truck. There is also evidence of several aftermarket parts on the front of the vehicle. The stickers are still on them. It was dropped off in our service department and our diagnostic tech observed that it was low on the left side, the bed is higher on the right side, the bumper is not aligned with the bed, the gap between the bed & cab is not uniform on both sides.

I'm not sure how the dealer I bought this truck from will handle this.

I would demand a similarly equipped truck at no extra cost. Or even an upgraded model. Use the "I've been driving an unsafe vehicle you sold me" to your advantage. You are in the driver's seat now

Waiting for their reply. I think what would make it right is exactly what you said or them taking it back and we cut ties. I'd be fine either way. If they take it back, I'll be using zero percent financing to my benefit on a brand new one.

Did you buy it from a Toyota dealership ? I think there are laws on selling a vehicle with frame damage so you should be good .

It sucks to hear of your situation, but I am more surprised by the help you are getting. Hopefully it's enough to get this resolved.

    UPDATE:

Spoke with the service manager again today. They are going to be putting the truck on the frame machine to see the extent of the damage and how much it would cost roughly to send to corporate. By Monday, they're hoping to hear from corporate about me trading this in on a new truck.

I wonder why the Dealer is trying to get the Toyota Corporation involved in on them selling a used truck that was obviously damaged in an accident.

I'm wondering if the second dealer where the truck is now is running up a big bill someone is going to have to pay .

It's the dealerships corporate that I bought the truck from. Not the Toyota Corp.

My dealership has authorized them to run these tests on their behalf. I'm sure it'll cost an arm and a leg.

finally come out Ur truck has been / might have been in an accident

much different than single driver 99% o the time
    the front suspension has settled

either situation would be handled totally different

if it has been in an accident.................& new parts are evident
they would have to make me whole
they could have the truck back

no less i have 1 question
if it has been in an accident ................went into a ditch that hard

a- what is the staus of the safety equipment............. Air Bags ?!?!?!?!?!?!

    good luck

That makes more sense, hopefully they do the right thing now.
