Better be careful they might do all the other recalls while it's in there.

Not sure how it works in other dealerships, but the one I used for all of the recalls on my wifes '06 Avalon went down the list and basically said "we're gonna do all of them".

That was fine with me as some were safety issues and one addressed an issue with the engine getting deep sixed by a ruptured oil line.

Here's my take on these recalls and the concerns some have for the dealer botching the work. Wait 'til they've been out awhile and others have had it done. The tech(s) will have gained lots of practice from repetitive work by the time you take your vehicle in.

To date I've had 3 recalls and 1 TSB done on that car w/o issue.

I live in cali away from the beach and the snow of the sierra's, so the under carriage looks as good as the day I got it.

They tried to do the pedal recall when I had it in for an alignment, I told him don't even think about it.;)

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Not one on my first gen, but I've only had it a little over a month. Doubt I ever will on something this old but we will see. I got a recall notice in the mail for my old 2011 the other day concerning seatbelts but since I don't have that truck anymore I disregarded it and told the guy I sold it to just to give him a heads up.

Only recall I did was the one where Toyota recalled my fucking girlfriend!!

They called her twice then recalled and she answered and went in.

They sat her ass right down in a chair and said "listen here goddammitt, Ross is gonna spend money on that mall stomper so fuckin deal with it"!

Worked pretty flawlessly. I bought some new shit and NOT A WORD was said.

IIRC that TSB I believe was the TSnB - the "talk shit now bitch" recall.

Oh ....and the melting headlight issue. Does that one count?

I've had one TSB done, 3 leaf w/ an overload, which I replaced about 6 months later. Have never had any recalls done.

No recalls done on my truck either. Any that I do get in the mail goes right in the trash.

I got one for the spare tire cross member on my '04 tacoma. I'll get that one done. I got a couple on the tundra that need to be addressed. They want to lube the window switch...could cause a fire. I hope it burns to the ground if it does light off. I want a new one anyways. The other is for a reflash on the accelerator... bull shit on unintentional acceleration. I won't be getting that one done.

In short, not in a great hurry unless something else that is a real problem has to be dealt with.

    I haven't done any. But it's a late 2011 and there haven't been any applicable recalls. :)

If you refused the "fix" for a possible fire and it burns Toyota isn't going to give you another one. The "flash" only shuts the throttle down when you have your foot on the brake shoot my 2002 VW had that feature. Why not let them fix it? It just is beyond me why any one would not get a known problem fixed that costs them nothing only because they think it is not necessary.

I have not had any recalls. I have just gone in for TSB's. I am very surprised, as many Tacomas before and after my year model have had recalls.
