I've spent the last 3 hours searching. The only two I found were All Pro and 4xinnovations. I want a rated hitch. Does anyone else make one?

I have a Marlin bumper but I find myself towing a lot lately and decided to buy a small camp trailer. It's not that I think the bumper can't handle it. I have my reasons, I want something rated/designed to tow.

Most vendors will disclaim the hitch is just a recovery point. This guy at Trail Gear laughed at me this morning when I asked him if their bumper could be used to tow a trailer. Their 2nd gen bumper is tow rated, not the first gent. They are built different.

I am also working with a budget and can't afford to spend a grand on a bumper. Tube vs plate, I don't have strong feelings. It just has been rated/designed for towing and be a reasonable price.

    No one.

It cost a shit load of money to have them tested for that due to insurance and legal reasons. Most small fab shops can't do that.

That said I've towed with my bumper with 0 issues. My dad has towed my truck on a trailer with his plate bumper.

Most bumpers are stronger or just as strong as a tow package.

    You'll be fine.

I hear you and I get it. But I'm a lawyer so the liability aspect is a big deal. Same reason why I ended up with an ARB front bumper for airbag function.

If those are my only choices so be it. Makes my choice easier.
