    Hahhaa I feel you. I myself am vertically challenged. I thought about what it would be like to roof top my outback but I don't have a shell or a rack. I use a bed extender instead and then just flip my wife's Vibe Skipjack on top of it and ratchet it to hell. Usually does the trick

    I have since started using two 4" black PVC pipes as supports under the PA as the 6 kayak saddles I was using before were not rated to carry the PA's weight, the saddles were leaving dents in the PA's hull and the saddles were collapsing.
    I had a Hobie cradle set but ended up selling them without using them to use the 4" PVC instead.
    Might be a good idea to run a strap front and back to your PA as well as the two on the middle.

    I still use it and enjoy it. The only thing I don't like about it is its weight when loading or off loading.

    Yep I own a 2016 Hobie PA 14'... I don't have a topper yet but load it with a hitch extender and strap it down...

    When I get the topper and the pa is in the bed with the tailgate down, how do you secure stuff on the sides? Can't use a net because the kayak is in the way...Ideas?
