    It is true that it will be overhyped, just as everything is on the news, but buildings in VA are not designed to withstand any earthquakes, so there is still some danger associated with that.

    I've heard between 1 and 4 miles depending on the source. It's very difficult to pinpoint the depth of such a shallow earthquake. Most earthquakes are 10-20 miles deep.

    Wow I've never really heard of earthquakes on the east coast. Next thing you know, you're gonna start hearing of hurricanes and blizzards on the west coast. Crazy... Hope everyone out there is ok
