Thanks man I appreciate it. I can take some pics for you guys if you'd like. In the meantime, here's the link for it with the specs and all sorts of pics:

    http://www.wilmingtonrv.net/2015-forest-river-rockwood-hard-side-a-122-s-new-popup-nc-i1413087

The wife's parents pretty much made the choice for me. We started tent camping and her parents had an old school popup camper, also towed by a Tacoma by the way. We would go camping with them sometimes in the popup. They upgraded to a nice travel trailer like some of the others in this thread and sold the popup. We started looking around because we liked how small and easy it was so we took a look at this. Hoping to get it tomorrow so we shall see how it goes. If not tomorrow then Thursday or Saturday. Depends on how busy they are with other pickups.

Nice setup. This is about the size of my in-laws setup. Except they have a single axel trailer. Did you get the weight distribution hitch with sway bars? I'm curious because they ended up having to get one because they towed it home with the regular hitch and it started swaying all over the place once the wind picked up.

These are awesome. I tried to find a few of them around here but couldn't find too many I liked. I like the fact you can just stop and setup shop anywhere you want. How do you store it though when you aren't using it? Do you prop it on stilts or just leave it on the ground?

Equalizer hitch and a friction sway bar.. It tows fine, never had it step out of line. Could use a few more horses but it's a vacation, not a race. :D
    Next is airbags and Dakars..

My parents have a single axle as well, it's nice and light but tire blow-outs are way more scary!

Yep that's what I say too. He cruises around 65mph or less with it. People pass us all the time down the highway but that's ok. Doesn't bother us any. The next mods should def make things easier as well.

Really digging the flamingo's. They give it a nice touch. We used to go to a place called Twin Lakes and a lot of people had those outside their campers.

Thanks. When we leave the island we spend about 30 mins in a ferry line-up then almost 2 hours on a ferry so it's nice that we can hop right in with no set-up required. Also on the ferry, a trip one-way would cost 200 with my old trailer. With my truck and camper, 80.

As for storage, I have a spot beside my house, behind a gated fence where I keep it propped up on a couple sawhorses.

Very cool. I figured it was propped on something, but I've never really been able to see these things in person and how they work. That's nice that you don't get charged extra for something like this on a ferry. They consider it part of the vehicle instead of a trailer. Saves time and money I'm sure.

Not sure if I have already posted it in this thread. I don't think so, but it's possible.

What is the idea with the on top of the truck Tents? I camp, fish, hike all the time but don't get why anyone would want to camp on top of their truck. Thanks

I went back there two weeks ago with three other Toyota 4x4s. Are you following my extensive trip report... it is almost done!?: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-baja-extreme-2016.452058/
