That is a funny pic. Look at the dog. Looks like he/she is saying "wth are you doing? the movie is over here man". :p

I unplug when I camp also. In fact it's kind of disappointing that I can't find a spot where I don't have cell service anymore.

This pic isn't mine - it's from TriageBAE. But it definitely belongs in this thread:

Camped out in the back under the cap this spring. Great experience. Much warmer than in a tent, and my back was much better in the morning vs. being on the ground. Want to get a bed mat, used a pad and a spare sleeping bag to cover the corragted bed.

Borrowed a pop up a couple years ago too! Towed amazing, could barely feel it back there.

Bought my Taco two weeks ago and went camping 8 days after i brought it home. It was a gnarly road going into the lake and coming out of the lake so I really got to see how my Taco handled in 4-lo. Impressed only tore off one of the OEM front mud flaps, but it was an excellent trip. I love my El Taco Negra!

For 10 days my truck was a mini-RV, stomping all over the Southwest, never missing a beat. Here we are at Angel Lake, just outside Sparks, NV.

I averaged over 30mpg on the trip. I now see my average overall mpg as a barometer for my overall mood. As it gets closer back down to 25.0, I know it's time to get back out there! :D

I live in San Antonio, and it was miserably hot here, how was SPI? I'm not a wuss by any means, but camping in a tent when its 100deg+ is NOT for me!!

    I'm a spring/fall kind of camper.

We were on the north side of the Mansfield inlet. We are planning to go to SPI soon. The tide was unusually high due to a low pressure system right of the coast! By the time we reached the 30 mile marker I was making my own trail. turned around at about 32. On the heat, if you stay near the water its not bad (especially under a canopy) and don't get in the tent until at least 10PM.

Anyone camp on top of tonneau cover? I'd think a standard 3 person tent & queen sized air mattress would fit perfectly, just strap rain fly like the truck tents do.

I agree!!! However this was more of a "date night" quick overnight camp trip. We cant have fires outside of designated campgrounds in Utah right now so if you cant sit around the fire and drink, then why not watch movies!!!

I really have no use for a tent in the bed as of now but I love my truck for camping:

This pic was from back in April when we went out in the Hoosier National Forest. My fiancee is cooking breakfast and the dogs are completely misbehaving (they know they get eggs for breakfast when we camp ;))

I just posted on another post, but here is my set-up. 09 sport DCSB towing a 5 wide lil'guy off road teardrop with an 85 WATT solar panel. Wife and I love it but after 10,000+ miles the rear suspension needs some help. It sags pretty bad when we are all loaded (1500lb trailer, 175lb tongue weight?, couple hundred pounds of gear+dogs). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, we already have the TSB AAL.
