I saw a couple of pics of mattresses that wrap around the wheel wells. Any links or brand names? Unfortunately, my wife and I can't sleep comfortably on the ground or a cheap foam pad.

Any info on the best mattress/pad to sleep on in the bed of my Tacoma would be great.

Do a search for AirBez. Here is a link:

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/product-reviews/227956-air-bedz-new-post.html

I had to wait 2 years for mine, but looks like they finally have stock. I haven't slept on it yet, but it looks like it's good quality.
AutoAnything usually has sales on them, and there customer service has been fantastic.

    Going tomorrow with a buddy.

Here is an old pic from when the truck was new. My wife had breakfast friends:

My current camping setup is pretty simple. All my gear is stored in two waterproof totes and one big backpack in my shed. I load them, a cooler, and a smaller backpack full of clothes in the bed (I just got a tonneau on the bed to keep everything back there dry so I don't have to use tarps like a cheap ass anymore lol) and unload when we arrive.

I've considered a truck tent because I think they are so cool looking but honestly I like ground tents and I feel my system is simpler.

That's my dream camper those Baja's are hard to come by used. I drive by one in the town next door and I just keep waiting to see a FS sign to go up on it. Wishful think though:(

Yeah you are telling me....after a bunch of online research :typing: I saw what they were selling for used:(....and it makes sense, lots of practicality. We can all dream though

The wife and I usually go tent camping. We load up the bed with everything and off we go. This weekend though we just got one of these for those hot as hell days and cold as ever nights. Should take delivery of it Wednesday hopefully. Last time in the mountains wasn't too fun with all the wind blowing.

My wife and I love camping and road-tripping. My wife is sick right now and we have to travel for medical appointments so I bought this slide-in camper. We haven't been able to do a ton of camping in it yet but use it lots for travel to appointments.

I am really looking forward to her getting better so we can start using it to have a little fun. The first trip we are planning is a trip down the WA OR CA coast which will include stops at dozens of microbreweries.

1991 Northern Lite camper 6'10" about 750 lbs loaded.

I'd love to just be able to do that. Unfortunately, if you do that in FL, you'll wake up soaking wet! ><
