I'm curious if those beat out my IDQ12v3s with the JL1000/1v2. I haven't heard anything great about shallow subs but I also haven't heard any yet so...

I think you are still pretty safe. The IDQ has an xmax 80%ish higher than the 13tw5. While the best shallow sub available, I doubt it beats a high excursion 12" in SPL.

i want to get a 10” or 12” and put it behind the back seat on drivers side. i’ll prob keep the seat folded down most the time, because it seams unless i have 4or 5 people that seat does not get used. if i have 3 they sit on the passenger side.

You could always grab some nst pulleys to make the alt. spin faster at idle to compensate. Alot of 4wheel guys that rock crawl do it to charge up since they mostly idle up mountains.

h.o alternators are pretty expensive, I once bought a 200amp alt to upgrade from a stock 105 and saw little to no difference on a single redtop at idle and cruising rpm.

I am very pleased with my set up, box is stealth and built by Marv, doors are sealed and deadened. Amps are class D, look small but bring plenty of juice.

    Kenwood excelon (5v pre-outs)
    ID XS69 comps up front
    ID XS65 in rear doors
    JL 13tw5
    PPI 900.4 for speakers
    PPI 1000.1 for sub
