I got the UWS lo-pro black. I'm thinking the # was TBS-63-BLK-LP it's a 63" box. The 60" box is for 1st gen tacos and other "mini" trucks. 60" will fit on a 2nd gen but just barely. It has been on my truck for over 4 years and still looks great. I've got a 7 yr old black UWS on my trailer and it still looks good too. Also the bottom corners are slanted to clear the fenderwells, they do make a 63 lo-pro w/o the slant, but it will NOT fit a Tacoma.

I have never thought about putting a box in my bed but I have to admit this setup has really peaked my interest into them. Sweet setup!

Here's mine...full depth UWS box. Fits perfectly, and I can even use the gaps along the two angled sides for storage also.

Currently looking at a tool box locally. I'm concerned since I have a dbl cab and I'll loose alot of space. It's a Delta Champion low profile and the guy is asking $180. He's came down $20 from the past week or so but I think I could maybe get it cheaper. The box is in very good condition and I think it's a good price since it's normally $350 I think.

It doesn't look great, but not terrible (at least in my eyes)
I love the gull wing doors, but the locks on it absolutely suck (typical Crapsman, I guess)
It kind of gives the work truck look, but that's good, because it is a work truck.

My toolbox is FINALLY in.....Betterbuilt low-pro.....I LIKE it.....Handles more stuff than the old steel box.....and the grip-rite clamps have put my j-hooks to sleep.....

Now to get my CB antenna bracket made and finish the Tacoma before the winter season starts.....Another Toyota is joining the "Stable" and will become the "Winter Project";):cool:.........

Yes, easily. I wanted it lengthways to keep the full length functionality of the bed. Just for the record, it's almost exactly the same height as the bed rails - kinda useful if you need to carry anything on top of the rails (like I carried a bed yesterday).

I bought some cheapo chainn from a hardward store to stop the lid opening too far that you couldn't reach it to put it back down, I guess you won't need that if you're putting it across the bed.

Toolboxes are kind of a necessity in the regular cabs. Only place to store stuff if you've got 2 people in the truck and it's raining. I got a black powdercoated UWS thats the standard 4in height. Doesn't affect vision for the 01-04's though since theres a 4in. gap from the top of the bed to the window anyway. I was kind of pissed about how shallow mine is. I'll have to get a better pic of the depth sometime but here it is.
