I believe it is; has the same lame birdcage my wife's AR has. Surplus Ammo has some nice three prongs listed but never in stock. Eventually when I stop spending money on my truck I'll get my DD4 finished for my FN SPR

Nice, I'm looking at a Griffin myself. Allows me to add a suppressor, but still have a break easily.

I think I may have got my little sister hooked. I let her put 150 rounds through my 74. She was having a blast.

I just put on my new picatinny dust cover. got rid of the dog leg mount and brought the red dot down about an inch or so. might buy a cheek riser to get an extra half in or so on the stock to get a good weld. not sure when i'll get to the range with it again.

How to you like it? I've heard good and bad about them. I haven't decided to get one of those or regular mount on the side. Just been focusing on using iron sights are the moment.

I've always read (on the internet so you know it's true) that dust cover mounts aren't great because they don't hold a zero...and maybe gas tubes are included in that. If you have a side rail get a RS Regulate mount and call it good

I had to dremel out the release button on the spring so it would fit. I also sanded a bit on the bottom as well to get a snug fit since there is so many different manufactures of the AK platform. My NCStar also has two screws on either side to ensure it stays down. I'll try to add a picture if a get home in time tonight.

Left is me with a dog-leg style with a Strikeforce II Red Dot at 50 yards. It held a zero pretty well but my only problem is when you break the stock weld. My wife's AR is right next to it, she gave me shit for shooting better but I mean, blue is still a realistic body size...

    Really like the RS regulate.

Yeah, I've heard a lot of pros and cons about dust cover mounts. IDK, even Krebs comes with a sight mounted on the dust cover, but to me, I don't want to loose my iron sights. I refuse to even put a red dot or scope on my AK until I feel confident enough to handle myself with irons.

I'm about ready to try out a red dot though. Just have to make a decision.

Yeah, as long as your getting a good group and it's in the target that's all that matters. Accuracy is good, but not as important as people think.

I wish my girlfriend liked guns. Would be awesome to have her shooting with me. You don't know how lucky you are haha!

I was in Jays (Gun shop in Michigan) the other day and saw a couple picking out an AR together and it was for the woman. Made me so jealous. My GF grew up in the city and thinks that guns are only for "ghetto people." She's been sheltered her whole life and thinks the world is still full of peaches and cream. I pretty much don't even talk to her about them and just do my own thing. So I'm glad that my sister likes shooting with me now. I'd like to see more women learning to handle themselves with a firearm. I'm going to keep encouraging her to shoot with me. So far she's shot and AK74 and a 9mm. Both have been good experiences for her.

How do you like that Zhukov? I love mine. Don't think I could live without one on my AK at this point. It's interesting how you have an AR break on your AK. I thought Definitive Arms was the only place that made a rifle like that. Really gives you more options for breaks and suppressors.

That's the nice thing about the RSR mount. It's a quick detach that holds zero when you take it on and off.

I like the Zhukov a lot. Steady and slim, although i'd like it to be a little taller to get a consistent line of sight. Hoping to maybe get out this Sunday, my wife and I try to go at least once a month. I bought a Remington 887 Tactical as my first and she bought a full sized 1911 in .45; only got worse after that. I think in the last year we purchased, in this order, Diamondback .380 (her carry), her Frankenstein AR (Spikes Tactical lower/PSA Upper and bolt carrier group), Glock 19 (my carry), my RH10, Glock 43 9mm (her new carry), my FN SPR A1 .308, and finally her IWI Desert Eagle in .50 AE.

Thinking about doing an AR build for me as I'm forbidden to shoot hers... I've seen the lowers with a skull for the mag well but these looks a little better from Unique-ARs
