MRO, ALG trigger and CNC Warrior thread adapter showed up. Yes I did check the surpressor and there's no issues. Even with me moving it around there's no way for baffle strikes

A Dead Air Wolverine is on my short list for the SBR'd Draco, because Tarkov.

Unless the YHM Resonator R2 is in stock when I decide to get a can. I already have flash hiders on several guns that will work with the YHM, but the R2 has been out of stock for months.

It started life as a Draco pistol. I was one of (if not the first) to convert one to an SBR by drilling and tapping the rear trunnion and adding the ACE folder back in 2008. If I'm not mistaken, MAC followed my tutorial on WarriorTalk when he built his. It even got the praise of Jim Fuller and Sonny Puzikas which was super cool in my book.

At first I just ran it with a KVAR lower handguard and Ultimak rail saddled with a PK02/PK23 (then later an Aimpoint CompM2).
[IMG]SBR 033110-01 by Lee, on Flickr

Later I added Magpul furniture, but I didn't really care for it.

Following flannel daddy's formula, I'll walk through the gun tip to butt.

Muzzle device is a YHM phantom with suppressor QD.

I switched to the SLR handguard after seeing the pistol Rifle Dynamics and Jim Fuller put together for GarandThumb. I had considered Zenit pieces (because Tarkov), but the shipping times were better with the SLR. The left side of the SLR has a Holosun 321R mounted. I like that unit since it has an integrated IR illuminator along with visible and IR lasers. I am seriously considering replacing my Steiner IR devices with Holosun because of the cowitness feature (zeroing the visible laser zeros the IR, so no need for special targets and access to a range at night). On the right side of the SLR is a Truglo 45 degree adapter and INFORCE WML. On the bottom is a BCM KAG.

Upper handguard/gas tube is an Ultimak in the AMD flavor. I've seen people cut down a full size Ultimak, but the AMD version fits fine. On the Ultimak is a Sig Romeo5.

Hidden under the Ultimak is a KNS adjustable piston to refine the recoil a bit (which will be particularly useful when I am able to get a can).

On the charging handle, I have a small section of 3/8" fuel line that extends about 1/8" past the charging handle. I'm a long-gun lefty due to reduced vision in my right eye, and tossing the AK over my head to sling it when transitioning to a pistol results in the charging handle slamming into my kidney. This is the solution that was recommended to me by Sonny Puzikas. He said it was a common fix for left handed shooters.

Trigger is a Tapco G2 that is nicely polished. It offers a pull somewhere in the neighborhood of 4 lbs.

Pistol grip is from Tango Down.

Folding adapter and stock are from ACE. Trunnion was drilled and tapped. Red loctite was used during assembly, and there are nylocks on the inside of the trunion.

Both the SLR handguard and pistol grip were painted with Rustoleum "Anodized Bronze". ITS did a video a while back talking about the MAS gray colorway that the Navy had experimented with many years ago. The science behind the color is pretty cool and this Rustoleum color is about as close as you can get. It is also a colorway that is similar to what Russian GRU used/has been using since the late 80's.

The AK that shot me in 2011 in Afghanistan. Plus the ballistic plate that saved my life. Yes, the AK is de-mil’ed and I own both legally.

1970 Circle 11 (Poland). Bought Magpul furniture for it but felt guilty after 1 trip to the range and I put the beautiful original wood back on it.

No, it's not as accurate as any of my ARs, but it's awesome to shoot. And it isn't a picky eater.

I purchased it as-is a few years ago. All parts matching (less whatever parts had to be of US origin to meet import requirements, of course).

I did add a dampener behind the recoil spring. Eliminated nearly all of the infamous "trigger slap" that AKs are notorious for.

Very tempted to sell a SLR-106FR with the AK prices how they are. But know I would regret it.

I don’t care for AKs. Little men with conical straw hats used to shoot them at me. I was recently at a public shooting area in a National Forest when a guy started shooting a full auto AK. I had to leave and spent a sleepless night.

Sorry that happened to you. I would be doubtful that it was a full auto AK but probably someone bump firing one. Either way not the place for it for sure.
